Driving License Categories

Scooters & Motorbikes:

  • Up to 50cc → AM

  • Up to 125cc → A1

  • Up to 400cc → A2

  • Over 400cc → A

ATVs & Cars:

  • B License Category (Car Driving License)

Accepted Licenses: EU & Non-EU nations with Latin characters
Not Accepted: Provisional, Learner, expired licenses


Driver & Age Requirements at Rider Moto Rentals

Scooters:

  • 50cc → 18 years old, 1 year driving experience

  • 125cc & 150cc → 21 years old, 2 years experience

  • 200cc → 23 years old, 3 years experience

  • 300cc & 400cc → 25 years old, 3 years experience

  • 550cc → 28 years old, 5 years experience

ATVs:

  • 450cc → 23 years old, 3 years experience

  • 550cc → 25 years old, 5 years experience

  • 700cc → 28 years old, 5 years experience

  • In addition, drivers must have the minimum required experience to ensure safety for themselves and others.


Customer Safety & Vehicle Condition

Rentals are provided with new and safe vehicles. However, if you haven’t your own vehicle of equivalent type, it may be considered for rental. Moreover, the office reserves the right to refuse rentals if a safety risk is identified.


Rider Moto Rentals Insurance Coverage

Includes:

  • Third-party injury & material damage up to €1,300,000

  • 24-hour Road Assistance

Excludes:

  • Full damage or damage to rented vehicle

  • Theft/fire of rented vehicle

  • Theft of personal belongings

  • Driver injury or death

  • Unauthorized driver usage

  • Driving under influence of alcohol or narcotics


Rider Moto Rentals Crash & Damage Policy

In case of an accident, inform the office immediately. Furthermore, the renter is fully responsible for any damages caused to the rented vehicle. Additionally, the insurance company will assist as soon as possible. However, damages due to negligence or violation of rental terms are not covered and must be paid in full by the renter.


Payment & Online Booking

Accepted Payment Methods:

  • Credit/Debit Cards (Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, Diners, Discover)

  • Apple Pay, Google Pay, Revolut Pay, SumUp, Bank Transfer

  • Cash (Euro only)

Not Accepted: Coupons, Vouchers, Prepaid Cards, Third-Party Cards

Online Booking Policy

  • Reservation complete after full payment

  • Changes allowed up to 48 hours before rental, depending on availability

  • Driving license copy and phone number required

Cancellation & Fees

  • ≥48 hours → No fee

  • 24–48 hours → 50% fee

  • <24 hours → Non-refundable

Refund Policy

Refunds are processed within 24 hours, however, bank processing times may vary. Therefore, please allow extra time for your bank to complete the transaction.

Non-Refundable Situations

  • No-show or late pick-up

  • Early return of the vehicle

  • Extra fuel costs

  • In addition, these rules ensure fairness and clarity for all customers.


Pick-Up & Drop-Off Rules for Rider Moto Rentals

Working Hours: 8:30 – 20:30

  • Locations: office in Rhodes City, hotel delivery within 2km, airport/port by arrangement (additional charge)

  • Late return fees: Up to 2 hours → 50% daily rental, Over 2 hours → full daily rental


Rider Moto Rentals Safety Guidelines

  • Helmets mandatory for driver & passenger (Greek law)

  • Off-road driving prohibited, insurance invalid

  • Off-Rhodes transportation prohibited, insurance invalid

  • GPS tracking system installed for safety


Fuel Policy

  • Vehicles run on 95 Octane Unleaded

  • Using wrong fuel: do not start engine, inform office immediately

  • Damages caused by wrong fuel are borne by renter

  • Return vehicle with same fuel level
